Excerpt from Nathan Hales Hazardous Tales: Big Bad Ironclad:

Nathan Hale, spy. Hung in 1776. (the authors name, too! ) " Our story starts with an emergency war council at the president's house. "

( Abraham Lincoln ) " Where is the Navy Secretary? The whole cabinet should be here. "

( Gideon Welles is late. He runs in at the last moment, tripping over General Scott's sword. )
( General Scott is asleep. )

( Abraham Lincoln ) " General Scott, please stop tripping people with your sword. "
( Random cabinet member ) " He's asleep, sir. "

( Abraham Lincoln ) " GENERAL SCOTT!! "

( General Scott wakes up ) " ANACONDA! "

( Abraham Lincoln ) " Why anaconda? "

( General Scott ) " It's my plan. We squeeze  the south like like an anaconda. Armies on the border, ships blocking the ports---we squeeze 'em! Nothing goes in, nothing goes out.

( Abraham Lincoln ) " Hmm. If the south can't ship out their cotton, they can't earn money to buy weapons. " General Scott, you are a genius! )

Cool, huh? I liked the books too.
